The Community Bike Project is hosting a fundraiser ride on Sunday, June 4th at 11am to support the Youth Earn-a-Bike program. Funds raised will go towards the purchase of the new locks and helmets each student receives upon graduation, as well as the tools and replacement parts students need to refurbish their bikes. We had 112 youth graduates in 2016 and plan to increase that number in 2017. Help us continue to provide bikes, mechanical skills, and mentoring to youth by joining Lids for Kids!
Start the cycling season with a fun 25 or 50 mile ride that starts in Gifford Park, travels through Iowa via bike path, and returns to the Community Bike Project. Lids for Kids is a fun ride for everyone and perfect for beginning cyclists! We emphasize riding as a group so no one is left behind. Fast and slow groups keep the ride well-paced for all riders and guarantees an enjoyable social ride.

Lids for Kids is a ride about and for community. In addition to fundraising for our youth programs, Lids for Kids also gives our Youth Earn-a-Bike graduates an opportunity to ride further than they ever have before and discover the joys of traveling by bike!
